Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer online counselling throughout the UK?
Yes. I provide online counselling to adults across the UK. Sessions take place via a secure video platform, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort of your own home.
Do you specialise in ADHD and Autism?
Yes. ADHD and Autism are my main areas of specialist experience, particularly working with adults, including those diagnosed later in life or who self-identify as neurodivergent. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and tailored to your individual needs.
Can I work with you if I don’t have ADHD or Autism?
Absolutely. While ADHD and Autism are my specialisms, I also offer counselling for anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and other emotional challenges. You do not need a diagnosis to benefit from counselling.
Do I need a formal diagnosis to start counselling?
No. You are welcome whether you have a formal diagnosis, are self-identified, or are simply exploring whether ADHD or Autism may be relevant for you. Counselling focuses on your lived experience, not labels.
What issues can counselling help with?
Clients often come to counselling for support with:
Anxiety and excessive worry
Stress and emotional overwhelm
Depression or low mood
Low self-esteem and confidence
Burnout
Relationship or boundary difficulties
Identity, life transitions, or feeling stuck
We will focus on what feels most important for you.
What type of counselling do you offer?
I combine Person-Centred Counselling with CBT-informed techniques. This allows us to explore emotions and experiences while also developing practical tools and coping strategies.
What are online counselling sessions like?
Online sessions are similar to face-to-face counselling but take place via video call. Many clients find online therapy more accessible and less overwhelming, especially if they experience anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or busy schedules.
How long are the sessions and how often do they take place?
Sessions typically last 50 minutes. Frequency is usually weekly, but this can be discussed and adjusted depending on your needs and circumstances.
Is online counselling confidential?
Yes. Online counselling is confidential and delivered via a secure platform. I work in line with professional ethical guidelines to protect your privacy.
How do I get started?
You can begin by booking a free, informal, no-obligation phone conversation. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether I feel like the right counsellor for you.
